What is art?

Niabu I cannot tahan people being so kepoh.

This guy was in my class at Taylors College and now he's a very PROUD ART STUDENT. I bet he's also one of those types - blablabla I see the world through different eyes and I'm gonna do drugs, change the world and die penniless and unthanked at 39 and that whole package of shit.

While I was DotAing, he messaged me through facebook. Note that this guy is not someone I regularly talk to and I'm wasn't even on chatty terms with him even at college.

So while I was playing, I hear this pop and I go out and check facebook after the game ended.

"you're an art student right? then why don't you have any of your art on facebook?"

Errrr. Hello to you too.

Who on earth would appreciate a random ex-classmate materializing out of nowhere asking you questions in such an accusatory and rude manner without even greeting you?

Since he was offline, I left a post on his wall answering his question as politely as I could.

asdfasdf

Understandably, he stopped replying after that. As you might know, in college I didn't have the sweet disposition that I do now *COUGH* and I think he realised I'm getting touchy.

Sheesh what's wrong with me?

No no no. What's wrong with YOU? What gives you the right to be rude to others? And I hate it when people don't get to the point of a conversation within 20 seconds or so - it's just pointless and irritating, especially if you're not a friend that I enjoy chatting to.

Am I proud of my work? Do you even have to ask?

Of course I am. Don't try to insinuate that I'm ashamed of my own skills just because I don't like showing them off to the whole world. And for your information, I DO have pictures of my artwork when I first started foundation.

As you can see I am pretty enthusiastic AND proud of my work. I just saw no more reason to continue posting them up and I'd rather spend more time actually DOING my work than feverishly post up every single piece of work the moment I get it back from my lecturer.

Okay. I know I'm stepping over the bitchy line here, so let's roll back a bit and I can say that he's pretty good at his work. Yes I do sincerely say that and I applaud his initiative to draw draw draw and practice and refine his skills.

Okay, maybe he's just curious and probably wants to measure up his work against mine, hence the badgering.

But still, learn some manners alright?

-__-

And yes, I do enjoy art but I don't have an all-consuming passion for it. I enjoy other things as well, like gaming and shopping. ~__~

And don't snigger to yourself and go: "Shopping! Oh how shallow! HEE HEE!"

Also, if I don't have to urge to post up my work on the internet, don't judge me for it. There are more areas to art than just drawing and photoshop work.

Mainly, I'm more interested in the area of design and innovation, rather than refinement of my fine art skills.

Come on, you're ARTISTS. Open up your mind. There's more to being an art student than getting fanatical with artists from the past and striving to BE an art student.

If you're an art student, you are. Period. There's no ifs ands or buts. You don't have to TRY to be one.

There is no measure for creativity, and everyone has their own talents. Students learn. They aren't Picasso or Karim Rashid or whoever the fuck you idolize.

Those are established people who are very skilled in what they do, and I'm sure that they would also say that there's much yet to learn.

Not every art student has to be a person who rebels against their parents to live their passion, or work 3 days without sleep to refine a design, or chop up animals or spout 'meaningful' bullshit to justify your work.

You don't have to do weed to make great design, you don't have to isolate yourself from people with other interests just because you don't agree on certain things, you don't have to swallow and accept everything another great artist has to say without a doubt

You don't have to dress differently or neglect your diet or be dark and gloomy and hate the world and everyone in it to be an artist.

You create art. Don't let it consume you.

Like me for who I am, not what I do.

I'm an art student. I am sane. I sleep 6-8 hours a day. I eat regularly. I don't take drugs or drink alcohol regularly. I don't carry a notebook around to draw whenever I can. I wear bright colours and tie my hair and brush my teeth and shave my armpits. Sometimes I rather play DotA or shop than to practice my painting skills. No I don't think everything my lecturers and classmates in uni say is superior to the people who aren't involved in the art industry.

I have my own opinions, my own personality and my own life.

That doesn't mean I don't love or have the passion for art.

:)

I hope all of you realise that.

Unfruitful shopping day

Relatively la. I was damn hyped up for shopping day (happens about once a month) and there were no good deals AT ALLLLLLL.

(@*&$*@^#

For once I had quite a nice-sized chunk of money left in my bank account and I was all geared up to go major shopping - stuff to bring home in Nov, yea!

Abuthen I only bought 2 things lo.

1 kid's necklace from Diva, cause it was 2/3 price off and I like unihorns.

1 b&w striped halter top that I wanted to buy last time but it was 12 dollars and I refused to. Today it was 3 for 10 but I didn't see any 2 other pieces that I liked so I bought just one piece for 5 dollars. -___-

Oh, and I bought a bape t-shirt for my boyfriend. Damn cute got 2 blue teddies in front. I hope he likes it ahahah. Also wanted to buy it last time but decided not to in case he didn't like it.

Anyway it was an impulse buy. Being one of the last shops before our (me and Manda's) tram ride home, it screamed my name and immediately I hunted for that t-shirt.

It was still there! They only had one last time also aahahah it's too well-hidden (it's in a prom dress/jeans shop o_O)

And I bought it because I hate going home (nearly) empty handed and I decided I'd MAKE him wear it even if he thinks it's too cute for a guy (at least the teddies are blue.)

OHH! I visited several perfume shops today to hunt for Sam's perfume to see if it was cheaper here (it wasn't) and I sprayed a copious amount of it (CK Escape) onto my wrist.

Bloody nozzle squirt so much I donno for what. Got one dripping puddle there.

Anyway, when I let it dry and air out a bit, I couldn't stop sniffing it cause it reminded me so much of my boyfriend. Waaa T__T

I sprayed the sampling paper to take a strip home and stuff it in my pillows, lumzhum, pajamas, bag, etcetc sniffable items.

AHAHHAHA damn pathetic right!

But it makes me feel happy ^__^ Good memories buuhahahha.

When I did that the first thing that popped into my mind was when Mia from the Princess Diaries got a sample of Drakkar Noir so she can smell Josh 'in the privacy of her own home.'

At the time I thought she was bloody batshit crazy, but now ohhhh how I understand your feelings, Mia :O

Oh oh and I sprayed CK Free on my other wrist. I like this one a lot :x Hopefully I can buy for him next time so I can always sniff it.

So on one hand I smelt like my boyfriend, and on the other I smelt like what he would possibly smell like in the future. (Lame pun ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY intended. Such a sad shopping day must give allowance for being lame.)

Anyway, I headed home with only 3 purchases and felt very low - shopping low! Damn horrible. Opposite to shopping high, where one feels euphoric and returns home like a triumphant hero returning from war, wielding bags of shopping like her sword stained with blood of enemies...

Meh.

Amanda was going to go clubbing - Halloween themed night. Briefly considered going but felt repulsed by the thought of getting drunk amidst a crowd of strangers in a unihorn/bunnie/angel costume.

Nahhhh, stay home and geek together with my boyfriend better la. :3

On the way home, I went to buy McD fries and a drink to refuel before heading to the bookstore to pick up art magazines.
(For what else do I love besides my family, my boyfriend, gaming, art, shopping, chocolate and dogs? READING!)

I bought a copy of Desktop and ImagineFX after flipping through them for a while (to absorb the bookwormy atmosphere there.)

ImagineFX is such a gorgeous magazine. Even if I didn't read and find their advice and tips on digital painting useful, it'd be worth it just to sit and stare those beautifulllll pictures. *__*

It was the first art magazine I bought when I went to US - it cost a bomb and basically it was what inspired me to do Digital Art (besides gaming.)

Blablabla. I don't even know where I put it now. HAHA.

So I paid for both (costs 30 dollars wtfbbq should subscribe cheaper lah) and walked home in the AWESOME weather.

It was exactly like Msia on a rainy day. Not cold nor warm but COOL AND WINDY.

I was imagining holidaying on a beach in the evening for the whole walk home. In fact, the weather was so freaking awesome that I parked my ass down on a bench on the street and started reading my new magazines while the breeze tickled my bare legs. Today was the first day I wore shorts without leggings in MONTHS.

Halleluya.

Ahh. This is what enjoying life means.

Oh yeah, on the way home, as I was waiting for the pedestrian light to turn green, one middle-aged woman riding a bike pulled to a stop next to me.

She looked at me. I looked at her.

She burst out laughing.

"OH I LIKE WHAT YOUR SHIRT SAYS!"
"Oh thank you :)"
"It's so true! Oh that's really good. I always meet Mr. Wrong. Oh! Hahahaha! Oh that's absolutely genius!"
"Well, it was true once."
"Hahahaha that's really a good one. I like it very much! Don't worry, one day you'll meet someone nice!"
"Oh, yeah. I DO have a boyfriend already!"
"That's nice! Good for you!"

The light turned green and she rode off with a grin, still laughing to herself.

Well, if that didn't make my day, I don't know what will.

Nice friendly strangers hohoho, that's one thing I love about this place.

Unlike my lecturer who just blatantly stares for such a LOOONG time whenever I wear my other shirt which reads "daytime sleeper, all night lover."

(What? It was five bucks and I thought it was a gag. Bloody comfortable to boot.)

Then, she loudly announces to the now-distracted class:

"Oh, I'm so sorry! It's just that...whenever I see that shirt...I just...oh sorry. Some things are just meant for young people."

Then she dips her head and talks to her papers on the desk - without looking at me:

"That must be a hard standard to live up to."

*silence*

Well fuck you and may I have you know that I have a very willing boyfriend to help me LIVE UP TO THAT HIGH STANDARD thank you very much!

Old hag.

She mustn't have gotten laid for decades. But let's not start being mean and petty. (SHE STARTED IT! Waa waa waa.)

Anyway there should be more nice ladies on bicycles around. :)

Now I'm hot and sticky (humid weather for once o_O) but I refuse to bathe for I'm afraid of losing that smell. *___*

1 more month and I can smell it on it's proper owner. *_________*

Am coming home soon.

What's worse than chewing gum in your hair?

Super glue, of course!

Bimbo Lala did it again. -_-

I know there's a shop in Pavilion called Bimba and Lola but somehow I always read it as Bimbo and Lala so that's what I call Shella now.

But I digress.

So anyway, I lent Shella my super glue yesterday and she managed to glue the tube to the table. -_-

She dripped glue onto the table and didn't notice it. So after she finished using it she chucked the glue aside and surprise, surprise...it landed on the puddle of superglue.

Imagine my surprise when I tried pick up the tube and it stuck fast to the table. Only with a calculated wrench, I was able to remove it from the surface of the table.

Super glue covered my whole thumb.

I -_-ed her and she apologized in her childlike way and I waved the matter aside, thinking that was the extent of the damage.

But NOOOO.

Today Jennifer wanted to use the super glue and she found that she couldn't open it.

I told her to use her clothes for some friction because sometimes the cover is a little sticky after use, but to no avail. I tried and it didn't work either.

I asked Jimmy and he failed to open it too. So we said if a guy can't do it let's just write the tube off.

When I tried to recall how I screwed the cap back on, I realised the Shella was the last person who used it and she must have put the cap back on without waiting for glue on the nozzle to dry.

Effectively, she not only super glued my tube to the table, but also super glued the tube of super glue shut.

@&*#^*&^#

Sighing, I tried wiggling the cap side to side to loosen the dried glue as it works sometimes, but she must have closed the cap with a huge shitload of glue on the nozzle because the whole fucking thing snapped off!

PAK!

Needless to say, fresh super glue splattered on my construction materials, my shirt, my hair and my face!

FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK.

I just gasped and sat there, stoning. Wtf just happened? And complaining and cursing like hell that I wasted my limited plastic sheeting that I was going to use to construct my lighting project. (You can never wipe super glue off cleanly.)

Amanda and Jen O_Oed me and told me to hurry and go to the toilet la! Why am I sitting there?

Grumbling, I asked them to please help me wipe the plastic sheeting thanks and I marched to the bathroom irritated.

I met my lecturer and program coordinator on the way out. They stared at me, what with my awkward posture - I looked like someone threw an egg at me with my arms stiffly at my sides and my disgusted face.

"I snapped my tube of superglue."

Immediately my lecturer asked if I got any in my eyes and I said no, only my face and hair.

She ran hot water in the sink for me before going back to the class, leaving my bending down over the sink and running the hot water over the patch of super glued hair.

ARGH.

I wiped some off my forehead and found more on my neck when I came home to shower.

But all I can say it thank god I got to the glue before it dried - I would bloody hate to cut off my fringe after growing it out for 8 bloody months!

After letting my hair run under the tap for a while, I let it dry off and started peeling the remaining flakes of dried glue off the ends. =_= It's like picking dandruff, only it STICKS to your hair.

HAJHVJHVDAJGVF

But anyway, now I have a reason to justify keeping my long and VERY messy, face-obscuring fringe - it probably just saved me from getting blinded.

Or gluing my eyelids shut.

Little miracles.

Cold T_T

Die streamyx DIE!
1. For making my boy dc repeatedly i.e. every 3 minutes and take 3 times the amount of time to reconnect
2. For making my ping 5-600+ while playing CS.

GERAMNYA!

For one, Sam can't message me anymore because his bill exceeded 1.2k RM since January. =_= Holy shit yes that's insane. Sorry babe.

And for another, I get agitated if I can't kill people in CS. Instead of quitting, I just stay on longer and longer until I can pawn the enemy and get revenge...and lagging more in the process, getting more and more irritated...

But eventually I stop when I get upset over the fact that ah boy gets upset over that fact that I get upset over the lag.

o_O But I still have this urge to play. And no one can stop me now! Last time mom used to scold me because I wasn't studying enough - who needs to study for art?

I just get my work done and that's it. :D
3 high distinctions so far! WOWOWO.
A few more distinction+s and I'm aiming to get all distinction and above this year. PLEASE PLEASE 70+ marks thanks.

T_T The only subject I'm really worried about is Production Skills. It's the only subject I kind of suck at as a whole. It's just basic drawing, painting and skills of the like. I have HORRIBLE finishes on my work - streaks in the paint, lead marks on my drawing etc.

Also, I mixed white paint into my colour wheel (FORGIVE ME I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS FORBIDDEN) and diluted my yellow...who the hell screws up yellow?

It's the ONLY colour on the wheel that we don't have to mix with any others colours. Even red has to be mixed with yellow, and light blue with dark blue.
Incidentally, my blue and red were deemed 'perfect' whereas my yellow FAILED.

I told her the truth, that I splashed red paint into it and turned it orangey so I used some white and more yellow to wash out the horrible red taint. ):

But her standards are so incredibly high - she can spot flaws in your artwork at a mere glance while I - the artist - needs to look at it for a while to register that there's something wrong.

-_- While she's good at what she's teaching, she's still a bitch anyway.

Bleh.

Anyway it's getting really cold out - averaging 15C in the daytime and 10C at night. That is, if it's not raining. The 4 minute shower policy can go and suck it for all I care. The hot water just feels so damn good running down my back that I refuse to get out of the shower even after 10 minutes.

I burned myself with the hot water a couple of times, but didn't notice.
o_o The water runs down my back for most of the shower, and there was once when I checked myself out in the mirror I really that my back, ass and the behind of my legs were red and swollen whereas my front looked perfectly fine.

-_- Walao.

Amanda says she likes the cold weather as it gives more fashion options - scarves, coats, boots etc.

I donno. I wear the same shoes and coat everyday and rarely wear scarves. They stick to the velcro of my coat and it gets ruined. -_-

Oh yeah. I'm starting to believe that guys like long hair better, although Sam has been telling me this for a while now. Guys are starting to look at me now, and smile...wtf why is hair so important anyway?

I understand the girls like long hair because it can be styled differently and I dunno...it's feminine? But today I didn't even tie my hair cause it was all lumpy and messy and still I get more attention.

=_=? I guess guys like long hair as much as I like skinny, shapely arms on guys. :D

I shall not question the weirdness of human minds anymore.
Just gonna sit back and accept it in all it's unfathomable glory.

Heehee. That day someone asked me where I got jeans - they're awesome!
And yesterday a shopkeeper asked me where I got my earrings - they're really nice.

I almost lol-ed in amusement.
Who would've thought people would be asking me where I got my clothes?
I've always thought of myself as a clothing disaster - house t-shirt, old jeans/baggy shorts and flipflops.

:S But I appreciate the change nonetheless. XD
I can almost hear Viv going OMG you're becoming lalafied or WTF we're becoming so feminine last year both of us were utter barbarians.

But I don't know.
I find that there is less pressure here if I want to 'dress up' - meaning skirt, tights, a shirt and dangly earrings - than back home because almost everyone here dresses here like that anyway.

And not many people know me so there won't be the pesky problem of your friends going OOOOOO what occasion ah? Or WTF ARE YOU WEARING?

But anyway, I still wear a t-shirt and jeans on most days, occasionally a shirt and earrings if I'm feeling dressy. :D

I just realised how much I love canvas shoes - they're so comfortable and light and they go well with anything that's not formal.

*_*

I don't know if I'll wear flipflops again when I go home.
There's also the fact that my right leg is 4 cm shorter than the left, and I pad my right shoe with an insole to balance out the difference in length.

Now I get less backaches, leg aches and the general feeling of imbalance has been reduced so much I feel almost normal now. I get slightly disoriented and can't walk straight (ask those whose feet I have trampled on) when I'm wearing slippers.

Lol.
Mom called and I totally forgot what I was talking about. -_-

Anyway I like this picture (it looks nicer when blown up):

My lecturer asked me a tricky question.

"Did you plan the way that the text led your eye into the photograph and gave attention to the texture of the fruit, yet not taking focus off the text as well or did you play around and decide that you want the font there?"

I was like ERRRR cause everyone was staring and I just said:
"Er I just...wanted to put it there."

Thinking I just killed my chances of sounding self-assured and confident with my 'artistic vision,' my lecturer goes "GOOD! Because sometimes you should follow you intuition and that's what we sometimes need when creating a piece if art."

She beamed. I beamed.
And that proves that the longest answer is not always the right answer for all of you who like to hentam stuff when you ahve no idea of what to say.

:D

More pictures of my environmental sculpture in the newest album on my facebook. :)

Tummy getting hot now - fatass Mac is sitting on my tummy.
Counted 4 Macs in class that day. I didn't bring mine but it would have the biggest of all MUAHAHHAHAHAH! Dai gor laptop. :)

Okay. Byebye wanna go find bf edi.

Winter is coming! I can feel it in my bones...or maybe that's just the wind.
It's getting quite cold out and I don't really like it. If you know me well enough you will know that I like warm places. :)

It's averaging pretty much 14 C everyday, with overcast skies and constant downpours. Pretty depressing if you ask me.

For one, I just can't seem to get out of bed at all. (Even more so than usual!)
That day I was supposed to meet Amanda and some other people at 12.
I woke up at 11 and rolled back to sleep.

She called me at 12.15 asking where I was.

Shit.

I ended up being the latest - 45 mins behind time omg and she was pretty distant from me that day.):

Also I seem to get really restless in class when I see the cloudy skies. Makes me feel like rushing home immediately to curl up in bed with my laptop with junk food next to me.

When I come home I don't want to do work at all cause it's so cold and my hands are half numb - and my work is mostly hands on work so...yeah.

On the bright side, I got my very first High Distinction! YEAH!
I was just complaning on how bloody hard it is to get a HD - 80% and above - in that class. I got 76% for both previous works, and though a Distinction is still a good grade, I really really wanted to do well - the best, actually!

Thanks to Ling also for giving me the idea of doing Damien Hirst as my research, report and presentation topic. I wouldn't have the stage so well in the presentation if it weren't for his gruesome art pieces that totally held everyone in rapture. o_o

Thanks also to my baby for sitting up with my every night while I was writing the report and listening to my minirants while trying to wrestle with the new Microsoft Word.

Wow! Like award acceptance speech HAHA.
So happy :D

Viv said we have both become significantly more feminine this year.
I can't deny it.

I suddenly have an enthusiasm for shopping and buying skirts and stockings and wearing earrings (in all piercings) and doing my hair up in pigtails - and I didn't even fail THAT miserably this time!

Compared to last time...(circa 2007)

...
Fuck my face is so misshapen. T_T

YES! I know! Wtf right? D:

Hope I look a bit better now.
Omg. Pimples are shitty wei.
I have a whole collection of cringe-worthy pictures in my gallery and I don't really mind posting them up now seeing that so few people read my blog now HEH HEH HEH.

Da sei lei!

I found Lip Smackers at a pharmacy today!
I used to loveeee these when I was younger and Elaine used to buy them back from US for me.
Cheap, colourful and smells great. What's not to love?

Had a go at mecha drawings which I used to HATE.
Thought, hey, I've done spme pretty awesome things I never thought I could do before - drawing cloth? - so why not give it a go? :D

Using my own hand as a 'skeleton'...

A cut-off wing! Yay for A5 visual diaries ._.
And my current Principles and Elements assignment...is to make 100 babies!

Okay Sammy don't get excited cause this is my lecturer's idea of a baby...

o_O One of my first simple paper sculptures.
Made a drawing (in MECHANICAL PENCIL when will I ever learn?) of the sculpture for fun. :D

The actual thing is sitting on a shelf in class right now so I can't show you the real thing.

But yea. She calls every piece of work that we do a baby.
We have pretty babies and ugly babies - the one above is an example of an ugly: a crude, unfinished work which is, like it's name, quite ugly.

In a couple of weeks I'll hopefully have several pretty babies and one GORGEOUS baby and I hope I'll get a Distinction for this! :)

Since handicraft is not my forte - I'm more of a destroyer than a creator.
I prefer written work and presentations. Hehe. Words are my instruments of preference.

Tomorrow I'm off to Fed Square to do some drawings. So I'm gonna sleep now. TIRED! And my poor bf fell asleep in front of the webcam already, waiting for me to habis blogging. Sorry baby!

Good night everyone. :)

Revelation?

Hi. I just realised I don't have much to say on my blog anymore. All the energy I spent telling random strangers online about my everyday life has been channeled into telling them in person to my boyfriend, sister and mother on msn, in person or on skype.

Furthermore, I used to blog about people in my everyday life. And I don't really feel like blogging about them if they read my blog. :/
Feels awkward.

I also used to blog about everyday incidents but they'll probably bore you to death anyway as they would go something like this:

1. Arghh my boyfriend is so awesome.
2. Yes I love Melbourne I don't wanna come back.
3. Showing pictures of my homework.
4. ...

Did I really become a boring person after I've finally found happiness?

Hmmm. Maybe, but I think the happiness is worth it. :)

Anyway, ever since I took a 1 week break from school, I've been starting to feel pity for Sean again. You know the feeling when someone's around and bugging you and you just wanna slap them, then when they're gone you look bad and think it was probably not as bad as you made it out to be.

I mean, besides him following you everywhere you go, he's actually okay.
And maybe he just learned some manners during the break, but I can actually tolerate him now.

o_O And I'm just listening detachedly to people's stories about their encounters with him. It's just good listening to other people's perspective sometimes - and find out what he does when he's not bugging the hell out of me.

And Vera finally confirmed something I had started to suspect a little while ago. Sean is sexually confused. :/ He's not straight, he's not gay. He thinks he's asexual - asexuals account for 1% if the human population. They don't have any sexual feelings that lean towards males or females.

That would pretty much explain the lewd remarks he makes sometimes - on Friday he asked one of my classmates if she would have sex with him. -_-

It's actually kind of sad, the way he's trying to assure himself that he's normal.

He told Vera that maybe that was jsut the way it was meant to be. Maybe he was put on earth not to find happiness for himself in a partner, but to be a companion and make everyone happy to the best of his abilities.

And suddenly, it just hit me. The way he sucks up to teacher, the way he likes to single my work out and sing praises and embarass me in front of everyone, the way he follows people around trying to make chitchat...he just wanted to 'do his job and enrichen our lives.'

Wowwee. Sounds so deep.

You would think it's corny for a 17-year-old guy to speak this way, but trust me, I've heard him speak like this since the first day I met him when he asked me what my psychic power was and didn't I practise Wicca? ._.

It makes you kind of down to think that there are people who are so vastly different from others and are trying so hard to fit in, not knowing that their efforts are intensely overpowering and drive people away instead.

I have been nice to him ever since I've come back from the break and I have vowed not to be nasty unless it was absolutely necessary - "ni he wo ke yi zuo ai ma?"

I was stunned that day when he asked me:

"May I watch?"
I went "what?"
"May I watch you draw?"
"Huh? Okay."

And he sat down, maintaining a respectful distance and watched me draw without saying a word.
In the past this is probably what would have happened:

"Hey Steph! Wow that's pretty nice, what are you drawing?"
"..."

Sean pulls up a chair and sits right next to me, leaning over my shoulder.
"Why don't you do this instead? I think it would look much better. Last time, I..."

You get the picture. Irritating sial.
I guess people learn and people change.

People say it's harder to do than to say it, but I've watched someone I used to detest do it, and that just makes me respect him all the more (when he's not being an ass.)

It's kind of humbling, really.

ANYWAY, beer in Australia is nicer.
Tried Hoegaarden and Budweiser and liked them a lot.
Corona sucked.

I know they have the same beer back in Msia but somehow it seems much nicer here. Less bitter and almost...smooth? o_O

Don't know how to describe it but I will no longer say I HATE BEER ARGHHH.
:)

June is the month of deadlines, I have just been reminded.
Grrrrrreat. I'll be spending my birthday drowning in assignments and working my fingers until they sprout in blisters and my back screams for mercy. ):

Nevermind. Epic 18th birthday party when I get home in July!
WOOHOO!

Sammy's birthday is on Monday. I hope he likes his present. >_<

Whoopeeee mom says I can follow him back to Sandakan at the end of the year and I just found cheap tickets!
180 rm return heh heh heh. (210 + baggage and insurance o_O) Hope mommy doesn't change her mind and BAN me. T_T

My mommy is damn cool hor?
She lets me follow my boyfriend of 2 months (when I asked her) back home across the sea for a week. O_O

Mommy likes him HA HA.

Good boy konon. :x Personally I just think she was just won over by the prawns XD

Good move la baby.

To end this post:

My mutantfish. The scaled kinda killed the whole thing. -_- It looks incredibly 2D. Also, I used a mechanical pencil for the body and a better pencil for the fins and stuff.

My New Media project #2:
Photo collage made with Photoshop and my own pictures.

Haven't posted up final version of New Media project #1:
Logo made with Illustrator yet, so here you go -

This was the submitted version.

But I think it looks cooler with the colours inverted.
(I only found out after I handed it in, oh well.)

Bla bla bla good night.

Baby + Me

1. Pencil and an A5 notebook

2. Adobe Illustrator

3. Adobe Photoshop

Don't ask why he's so tan in the picture.
I know geeks are supposed to be deathly pale. (And he is!)
We just looked funny when we were the exact same colour. o_O

Hehee.
Love you baby! :D

Roooarrrrrrrr

Hi Ling!
Don't feel sad that people make assumptions about your course.
Feel sad that their tiny minds can fit in a Campbell soup can while ours so much broader that the soup can is but a tiny fragment of it.

XD Gambateh.

Ok. Holidays start on Friday! Only for a week, but YEEEAAAYYYYY!
Our lecturers lied. They said we'd be begging for mercy by...the end of March. 8th April and still no pressure - and we have a 10 day holiday to boot.

Heeee. Just gave my presentation on Damien Hirst yesterday.
Hope I got a good mark - I didn't manage to finish it and teacher told me to wrap it up. I missed 2 slides T_T And they were the good ones!

Not fair cause she let the other people continue. :(
That's what happens when you're first in line. Sigh.

Anyway, WOW. That was probably one of my best presentations ever.
Thanks Mister Hirst! :D
My hands were shaking a bit - I was the first powerpoint presenter and I HATE being first - but the moment I started, BAM!

The room was literally eating out of my hand.
Wowowowowow such a good feeling!
Of course, my subject was a pretty fascinating person himself, so it was no surprise everyone was craning their necks to see animal organs and the tiny laptop screen.

It's jsut awesome when everyone is paying full attention without being asked and giving feedback with barely any prompts. The Mother and Child Divided had everyone groaning in disgust and This Little Piggy had people going 'OH I GET IT!'

And I felt SO relieved as I watch my lecturer's face go from >:( to :D

Lol, I don't blame her. I was getting just as antsy as she was, listening to people present their artists in butchered English (oh MAN the cheena accent T_T) in barely audible tones.

Thank you Lingling for giving me such a fascinating artist.
OWNAGE I tell you!

Hirst rawkzorssss.
Perhaps overrated and too smug for his own good, but interesting nonetheless.

Cissss I blushed until my face was burning when Vera went YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND? AAAAAAAAAAAAA SO SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET! after English class.

Wow. I didn't know I could blush that well.
I thought only Den was blush-prone.

Oh noooo Mona what have you done? D:

Anyway I posted pics of my dogs as well as Sammy's dogs on Facebook.
You MUST check them out if you haven't cause Dave and Jordan are SOOOO CUUUUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

And yes I'm calling him Sammy now because I feel like it. Shuddup and just be thankful we're not going through the pumpkin-cupcake-sweetpea phase.

So there. :)

LAST DAY BEFORE TERM BREAK TOMORROW!
YiPPEEEE!

Sleep early tonight woot.
Wan an.
