Muddled :S

I'm so confused.

First mom says she'll support me in anything I choose to do - career-wise, that is - then today she tries to dissuade me from studying Fashion Design.

*Note: This is just the gist of it, not word for word.

Mom: Why don't you go into copyrighting instead? You're creative and your english is good, why not?

Me: But I want to do fashion designing...

How many people can make it in fashion designing? It's a tough industry.

Copyrighting is scary. It's a make or break thing...I'm scared I'll break it.

It is! But you just have to be confident in yourself, you must believe you can do it! But first you must know what you want to do.

...*mutters* I do.

Copyrighting is easier to get a job, Malaysia needs copyrighters!

All our ads suck. They are boring, unoriginal and lame. *sulk*

That's why you can help! Every company needs people to advertise for them.

I don't want to be a part of it. I wanna do fashion designing. Or creative directing. Or makeup...and taking pictures...*mumbles*

See.

Mom says:

She will support me in whatever career path I choose.

YET

She is trying to persuade me to do copyrighting after I have painstakingly picked out fashion designing as my option.

Mom says:

That I can do it if I just have confidence in myself - I can make any industry I want to if I believe in myself.

YET

She tells me that I can't make the fashion industry.

Mom says:

That I have to hurry up and make up my mind about what I intend to do after SPM.

YET

When I say 'Ok I decide on fashion designing!' she goes 'Why not try [this and this] instead?'

***

WTH MAN! Tell me, is it just me or is this conversation utter bullshit?
Not that my mom doesn't mean well - she does...but HELL, I'M SO CONFUSED.

How can I not be?
Everything that she says seems so contradictory to me...it's addling my already fickle mind.

Any suggestions?
.
.
.
No?
.
.
.
I thought so.

Now go away.

Mental probe! Funfunfunnn!

(For me, anyway...but then I'm easily amused.)

Instructions:

Copy all, paste all.
Fill in your answers BEFORE scrolling to the end of the page.

First thing that comes to mind, please.
NO editing...you can't fool yourself, anyway.

*************************************************************************************

1. You are not alone. You are walking in the woods. Who is with you?
- A friend of choice - depends on my mood

2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal?
- Wolf

3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal?
- Snarling and pacing and glaring. Then I win. Ha! Take that!

4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your DREAM house. How big is it?
- So-so. Comfy enough. But not too big as so to require dozens of housekeepers.

5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?
- Those low kinds you can hop over...more like territory markers, not to keep out intruders.

6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining room table. What do you see on AND around it?
- On: Doily + flowers (omg my mom got to me = =) and (Around:) people in party hats? o_O haha

7. You exit the house and a cup is onthe ground, what kind is it?
- A silver jewelled chalice with blood (or red wine?) in it, haha

8. What do you do with the cup?
- Sniff and sip. (Blood...wine, who cares?) XD

9. You walk to the edge of the propertywhere you find yourself at what type
of water?
- Melted snow.

10. How will you cross the water?
- Just step over it? Haha duh.

*************************************************************************************
Are you finished yet?
If yes, scroll.
If not, what are you waiting for, bitch?
=P
*************************************************************************************

The ANSWERS

1. The person who you are walking in the woods with is the most important to you.

- A friend of choice - depends on my mood

Then I guess everyone ranks about the same? Haha =P

2. The size of the animal is representative of your perception of the size of your problems in your life.

- Wolf

Zzz, wolves are kinda big, right?

3. The severity of the interaction you have with the animal is representative of how you deal with your problems.

- Snarling and pacing and glaring. Then I win. Ha! Take that!

HA! No problem then! *smirk*

4. The size of your dream home is representative of the size of your ambition to solve your problems.

- So-so. Comfy enough. But not too big as so to require dozens of housekeepers.

Not very big, then. Too true, my friend, too true.

5. A lack of a fence is indicative of an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence indicates a closed personality. You'd prefer people not drop by unannounced.

- Those low kinds you can hop over...more like territory markers, not to keep out intruders.

Hey, that's kinda true. People are welcome to hop over, but mind my privacy please. =)

6. If your answer did NOT include food, flowers, or people, then you are
generally unhappy.

- On: Doily + flowers (omg my mom got to me = =) and (Around:) people in party hats? o_O haha

Flowers, check. People, check. Food? Yuck.
2/3 = Kinda happy

7. The durability of the material with the cup is made of its representative of the perceived durability of your relationship.

- A silver jewelled chalice with blood (or red wine?) in it, haha

Wow, silver with jewels...where's my boyfriend already? Hahaha!

8. What you did with the cup is representative of your attitude.

- Sniff and sip. (Blood...wine, who cares?) XD

Er...curious and reckless? o_O

9. The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your sexual desire.

- Melted snow.

Wtf, moderate then. Haha!
I'll bet guys have oceans or something XD
Horny creatures =x

10. The way you cross the water is representative to how easy or hard you expect your life to be.

- Just step over it? Haha duh.

=/ Life is easy! Or so I treat it. XD

*************************************************************************************

I was bored ok?
And you can't make this psychology shit up! =D

I'm home. [ ='( ]

I don't want to be home.

It's so hot, and the first thing I see is this cab driver dumping rubbish out his window, and the vanilla milkshake I had for dinner was lumpy and gross and watery, plus I finally noticed that the outside of the airport smells bad.

=.=

Wow.
Throw me outta Malaysia for a fortnight and I already don't want to come back.
So much for loyalty.

Or maybe I'm just grumpy.
*makes face*

Ok, so I played DotA and slept at 4.45 am THIS MORNING, and had to get up at 6.15 to go to the airport.

1.5 hours of sleep...I'm allowed to be a bit tetchy, right?
Plus I had nothing but chocolate for dinner the previous night (not that I'm complaining, mind you!) and a meat pie to last me the whole day before I had dinner at 8.45pm.

And there's a government test tomorrow...ADD MATHS.
Please! ._.''

Like there already isn't that post-holiday depression where your happy glow slowly wears off and disintegrates into the cloudy skies of KL.

PLUS, some teachers are hounding me for my ko-ko form which I neglected to hand in before fleeing the country (aha) ...

...I could've sworn they said they'd just give me a big fat 0 if it wasn't handed in, so I was all 'oh whatever, 0 is 0 then.'

But NO...tomorrow I'm going to burn under the laser-retinas of Pn Chee for being an irresponsible little overprivileged kid that jets off to The Land Down Under whilst others are filling up forms and whatnot for college applications as well as checking trial marks and taking government exams. -.-''

NOW I really can't wait until SPM is over and I'll be free!

(Free to drown under college work and life, but still, FREE!)

Wahliao, headaching man!

***

Ehehehe, I sound so spoilt and petulant. =D
Tau bagus!

But I really DO feel sad that I'm back home and back to reality.
Darn. I don't even mind flying for another 8 hours if it means delaying my return to school.

(I slept through the 8 hours flying due to my 1.5 hours of sleep but whatever.)

Maybe I'll blog about my holiday when I'm in a better mood.

Parteeee...

*Update: Added the purplink salad picture ^^ Ty Yap

Just cause par-TAY! is so cliched XD

Yesterday was Abigail's 16th and Daniel's 19th birthday party.

Happy birthday peeps!

Home-cooked food just tastes so much better than catered junk.

Especially when B and I spent FOUR hours making ONE salad.

Hahaha...I am officially no longer domestically-impaired!
*cheer*

I skipped school on Friday to help B prepare the food for her party (Do I need a reason to skip, actually? There are no classes anyway ==)

I had my sleeves rolled up and ready to learn how to marinate, crack eggs, chop veggies and all that housewife crap, but little did we know we'd spend FOUR FREAKING HOURS on ONE salad.

Lmao.

We had to wash the muddy potatoes that we painstakingly selected from a giant heap at the supermarket - 2.5 kgs in all - and peel them.

And wash them again.
Then chop them into cubes for salad and wedges for curry respectively, but God knows what I chopped ended up looking exactly the same. o_O

Then we chopped purple cabbage, cucumber and cashew nuts as well as squeezed lemon for that sour taste. ^^

Celynn made my heart stop every she grabbed my hand while I was holding the parang. = =
I KNOW I will scream if a 6-year-old loses a finger (or more) because of me.

But nothing happened, to her at least.
While chopping onions - not for the salad, silly - I dropped the parang on my hand.

...

And the stupidest thing was I was doing very well until I decided to change the position of my hand as it was getting tired. The moment I changed my position I realised that my thumb was susceptible to the blade of the parang, and thought to myself:

"What the heck, might as well finish chopping this onion first..."

And immediately I dropped the knife on my thumb.
Swt.

Aside from that, there were no other injuries besides B tearing her cuticle with an exceptionally fierce cashewnut which refused to split open.

XD

Anyhow, we ended up with a yummy (IMO, but it's probably biased =P) pink and purple salad!
So girly!

Hahaha...the purple cabbage stained the mayo pink and we ended up with a feminine looking dish that made a guy go:

"WTH is that pink thing?"

I still chuckle to myself everytime I imagine the cutesy salad sitting on a plate next to macho looking brown satay, brown noodles and brown chicken. =x

***

We ended up having a water fight as the balloons inevitably ran out.
Yesss!

Yi Ling, Sui and JL managed to get completely drenched despite their refusal to play.
(Chee-ken!)

It looked so wicked fun you guys couldn't resist, could you? Could you? =P

My first two balloon bombs were complete failures - the first one aimed at the birthday boy's back totally bounced off and rolled away -.-

The second one aimed at the birthday girl bounced off and splashed at her feet.

B and I were chasing this guy - I forgot his name, I'm sorry *wince* - but he ran too fast (I was barefoot on the tarmac ok) and so B and I trudged back toward the house in utter defeat.

Psych!

I whirled around, socked him in the face and ran off cackling while he spluttered in indignation. Muahahaha!

I got Yap in the hair (very hard to miss =P)
Sui Yi dumped a cupful of water on my head and I upended a whole basin of water over her.
JL got a thorough dousing by way of hose.

*glee*

After it was all over, we had a picture taken - wet shirts, cmon! =P
The guys told the girls to go in front and squat, which we did obediently, albeit suspiciously.

We posed for the cam...and SPLOOSH!
The guys dumped a whole basin of water over the girls amidst furious cries of protest.

= ='

"St. Johns beat CBN! Hahaha!"

Oh come ON!
Totally owned!
T.T

Hahaha!
There are just some things (however few and far between =x) that make you hate and love guys at the same time.

***

The cake was really, really good!
Oreo cheesecake and coffee cake - both homemade!
Better than Secret Recipe's.

Well, it was ok until some guy walked into me on the stairs and smashed the cake into my face.
= =

But it was still yummy, nonetheless. ^^

Daniel had relighting candles.
You shoulda seen Sui's amazement - it was hilarious...like it was an absolute miracle that the candles refused to remain blown out.

Hahaha...Fish, you know, you can buy these candles at party shops or peddlers. =/
Basically it's a normal candle that will spark itself when it goes out - you can put it out by dunking them in water.

...There, that takes the magic out of everything, doesn't it?
(Aw man, I feel like the parent who tells their kid that Santa doesn't really exist. Sucks.)

BTW, Sui screamed in Midvalley yesterday!

It was so shrill it echoed.

o_O''

People were staring, ahaha!

Sorry, I was being a pain that day - very grumpy due to the fact that my contacts were drying up and I couldn't see properly, and because Alvin said I looked matured, and also because I was a bit sleepy.

= =''

...

Matured is merely another word for old.
Old.
Old!
OLD!
I look OLD! *gloom* =(

Anyhow,
I'm sorry, I should've known better than to talk right into your ear.
=/

But I like doing that because then I don't have to speak so loudly and some people just...like it.
But no, no, you're an exception.
^^

Our adorably jumpy Fish, lmao.

JL, Yap and I enjoyed being your shrub, stop sign, and lamppost respectively. ^^
=/ Don't ask.

***

The WCG (World Cyber Games) were held at Midvalley convention centre yesterday (and today, I think)

It was so cool! *gleaming eyes*
I felt so at home with all the cyber nerds and geeks. =/
...somehow.

Even when most of the games they were playing were foreign to me, I still felt a sense of comfort just watching them play it. o_O

Geek or what? XD

I didn't want to leave. ='(

It was hilarious watching couples walk past the convention center and seeing the eyes of the male half get drawn automatically to the WCG banner.

It was that irresistible! *salivates*

Ok, this post is too long already - I'm bored.

...
*makes Ah Lian pouty-gedik-face and mocks self*

But I'm bo-ored! *whine*

Oh Lord, what is happening to me?
(I think it was the pink salad! Oh no...)

Oh well, time to face my beloved Puan Sarjit tomorrow.

Wish me luck and pray that she calls my mother. ^^
(...and saves my breath.)

Smile-at-a-random-stranger Day!

Haha, I was thinking back to a conversation my mom had with my auntie.

My aunt was complaining that she didn't like to go for walks with her hubby because people always looked at her in a stuck-up way.

Also, they NEVER smiled at her.
But they smile at her husband la!

At this point, he butted in and said:

"You never smile at them, why should they smile at you?"
"They also never smile at me!"

Ah, it's a paradox.
If people don't smile at you, you don't smile back at them for no apparent reason lest they think you a freak - it's just not done.

Alas, if you don't smile at them, they won't smile at you, and you won't smile at them, and they won't smile at you...and it goes on forever! o_O

Quite silly, I think.

So today, I decided to test out people's reactions when you actually make eye contact and smile at them.

I normally have a black face in public, as people like to tell me.

...I just don't like to smile for no reason, ok?
(Plus 6 years of braces did NOT help my self-esteem at all)

However, today I decided to change all that be-cold-if-you-don't-know-them thing.
Let's smile at strangers! =D

The idea popped up quite spontaneously, so I was actually sitting in a shoeshop glowering at passersby (I was bored from shoe shopping, please excuse me =/) when this normal-looking (read: non-ah lian) girl caught my eye.

She looked in my direction, and I looked up and caught her eye.

First victim!

She looked at me and was about to turn her head away when I curled up one side of my lip up a little - just a tiny bit, a tentative smile.

She looked away.

And she turned and met my eyes again.

I curled the other side of the lip up --------> =)

She looked away.

Then she looked back...and smiled!

SUCCESS!

Ahahaha!

Feeling encouraged, I tried again, this time while walking - I had to make it fast.
No time for double-takes or backward glances.

Spotting a relatively normal looking guy, (eh, hard to find non-ah-bengs in Sungei Wang leh...)
I caught his eye and smiled.

His eyes widen surprisedly...and he returned the smile.

SUCCESS!

Feeling even better, I immediately turned to find my next victim - a salesguy in a CD shop.
I raised my eyebrows in preparation for a smile - and he grinned at me!

Hah!

SUCCESS!

I tried my luck again - this time picking a typical Ah Lian.
Who knows? Maybe they're really friendly under that 2 inches of foundation and eyeliner...

So I smiled at this girl with straightened hair, giant striped tee, purple jumpsuit and hotpants.
(Maybe we could be friends? =D)

...and she glared at me with a WTF face - like I was a total nutcase.

...

-.-''

And I stopped smiling at strangers after that.

(Luckily Yap didn't know what I was doing then, else she'd ROFL at me = =)

From today's findings, I conclude that:

-Smiling at strangers has an approximate 75% success rate of getting a smile in return.
-People are friendlier than they seem.
-And some people are just as unfriendly as they seem. (Lol, I'm just biased, sorry! XD)

See? Smiling at strangers isn't that scary...

-If they return your smile, it really makes your day.
-If they don't - they might just be shy and you might have just made THEIR day a little brighter.
-If they don't, and hate you for smiling at them - they have issues and you're probably never going to see them again anyway. =/

So break the vicious circle of frigid, cold stares...and smile at a stranger today! ^^

A mystery solved

A few months back I posted about DotA and Fish insisted that 'one of the blue thingies' looked like an FF character.

"Huh? Yes meh? Which one?"
"The blue one..."
"Akasha?"
"Aiya, dunno la!"
"...o_O"

So, today I was browsing through forums and came across a Phantom Lancer guide.

His picture is based on Final Fantasy X's Kimahri Ronso who is basically a really cranky blue horned lion and got his horn cut off and shunned from his blue-horned-lion people.

Yeap, it was Azwraith and not qop, haha.
Ugly thing, innit?

***

I just signed up for the GG-Game server - something like Zion - and the people there really like -ar games.

...

If you know me well, I will refuse to try out a new hero unless I'm playing with my friends/AI/ranged/not a Str hero.

And lucky, lucky me, I randomed Morphling!
=D

I was happy cause Morphy is cute!
*ignores groans all round*

I mean, he is cute in the way he (she?) changes colours constantly and only if you ignore that hideous gloopy-looking trunk.

Being a first-timer, it was no surprise that the host came down hard on me - he wanted to swap Meepo for Morphy - and being a sane human being, of course I refused.

what do i buy for this guy?
?

*no reply*

what to buy for morph?
seriously never play before
lol
><
i thought ap ma
y dun swap me?
lagi dunno (referring to Meepo)
haha

*no reply*

eh cmon la
tell me what to buy
haha
after buy noob stuff
cb la ask u swap dun want
teach la
what's the prob
zzz

*silence*
I think he was considering the fact that it was WAY too late to swap Morph over anyway, so he may as well teach me the item build - who needs another feeder?
(I muddled through the skill build myself though, haha)

buy heart
okay
change all str
to agi
alright

Score: 3-2

morph
buy more heart
morph quick farm
ok
you buy 2 heart
1 power tread
1 butterfly
1 mkb

o_o ...I didn't have the heart to tell him that I probably won't even get beyond my first heart.
=x

I seriously have no idea how to play Morphy - I rarely see him in pub games, yet when I do, it's ALWAYS a godlike streak. (And somehow nearly always coupled with EoS.)

Pressure! T.T

After that we chiong-ed the 3rd tower, and being someone who works well under pressure, I managed 2 kills and completed my heart.

Scary. After those 2 kills, I had about 400 life.
I was alone with a bunch of creeps ...and Juggernaut ulti'd.

I got hit twice and escaped!
MIRACLE! AHAHAHAHA!

I got stuck in creeps too - but Jugg was still busy dancing around whacking my creeps (aka ulti-ing,) so I managed autocast my Agi into Str points and squeezed out and away! Hahaha...40 life and no mana left.

*imagines Jugg's dulan face*
*smug grin*

Anyway ...Ursa got REALLY fat and it was a race to see who could down the Throne first. =/

And that's how the game ended...one and a half hearts.

(And two leavers on the opponents team which explained why Ursa was so obese)
=/
(And the stats really amused me...3 base str? Cmon!)
Adaptive strike dealt around 500-600 damage.

7-3 is ok, yet I can't help but think that there must be a better build for Morphy. o_o
(And I relied way too much on luck as well =P)

So,

Any suggestions?
Den?
Chris?
=/

Morphy is cute but Puck's better! =x
