My birthday day!

Is that redundant?

So anyway, yesterday I had to wake up at like, 8 am to follow my mom to her office, which is in Times Square. I was so dead tired from the previous day's ice-skating/shopping that I considered sms-ing my friends to cancel and go back to sleep.

Which was the exact moment I KNEW I was crazy. I mean, what kind of idiot cancels their BIRTHDAY???

Yeesh.

The thought of playing with my new camcam fully woke me up though.
And yes, my new 'camcam' has a name. It's a boy.

Guess? =D

.
.
.
.
.
It's OLIVER!

Weird eh? Wanna know how it came about? No? Then click back now, because this post is gonna get a hell lot more boring.

Kay, the name came about when I was coming home after dropping JL off. I nodded off in the car.

Then, jolting awake after a particularly nasty pothole, the first thought that occured to me was:

BLOG ABOUT MY NEW CAMCAM!

Then, due to my lack of consciousness, I couldn't remember what model my camera was.

O_O

Then as we shot over a bump, my mind just spewed out:

Oliver! It's called Oliver!

...And that's how the name came about.
Haha. Sorry to disappoint those who expecting a long and elaborate explanation on the origin of my cam's -Oliver's- name.

It's a Canon Ixus 60, anyway.

Haha! xD

Okay, enough bullshitting. Oliver's Review will be in the next post.

After picking Jeanette and Johnnie-boy up, mom drove to Times Square and we reached there around 9.50 am. We had to wait a WHOLE TEN MINUTES until Borders opened. Kesian us only.

J, J and I hung around in the bookshop until Shan came. Meanwhile, my aunt started calling my phone.

Did I mention my phone doesn't work?
I mean, I can hear the other party, but whoever is calling can't hear me.

What I said before about talking to me being a one-sided conversation is true.

"Hello?"
"---"
"Hel-lo?"
"---"
"HELLO???"
"---"
"HAIYA!"

*click*

My poor aunt. xD My mom then told her to sms me, so she did.
With birthday wishes and hrm, a license to buy whatever I wanted!

Happy birthday girl! Buy anything and bill to my account.

Damn dangerous wei. Say that to my sister and she'll probably buy something sensible, like a reference book or something.

When applied to me, HAH! I tell you, if my mom hadn't stopped me, I would've gone all out and bought myself an 60GB iPod Video. Nyahahaha!

I wish my mom didn't stop me.

***

When Sunshine finally arrived, we all trooped to my mommy's office and we discussed the day's plans over Starbucks' Ice Blended! (Caramel for me, Jeanette and Shan; Choc for John)

My mom gets 30% off in that building, =P to you!

Then, Aunty Su got us all free tickets to the theme park and the iMax theatre! Thanks!
The iMax theatre wasn't showing The Da Vinci Code, which was sad. We watched Over The Hedge (in 2D) instead, with JL making a dramatic entrance (NOT!) halfway through the movie.

Freaking girl sms-ed me and I almost jumped - the phone was stuck in my tiny pocket. The damn thing vibrated so violently, and I forgot that I had put it there.

I dropped the phone under my seat. -_-

Over The Hedge was an OK movie. Kinda cheap comedy throughout, but if you are super-bored and have absolutely nothing else to do, go watch it la.

Tickets for 2D movies in the iMax theatre are RM10 also, but you get super-comfy seats and a 5-storey tall screen! Phwoar!

What for you pay RM10 for TGV and get crappy, too-short seats with no leg room, and a freaking tiny (in comparison) screen that plays your movie upside-down at intervals? (This really happened, ask Yi Ling)

Not to mention DISGUSTING POPCORN MUCH? Ew.

And here I go, off-topic again.

Theme park was okay, I felt unusually nauseous sitting my usual rides, the Dizzy Izzy and Coort's Express.

Jeanette's hp flew off while riding the Dizzy Izzy! o_O Luckily some nice guy picked it up and gave it to the information counter where she claimed it after.

I still remember riding the Dizzy Izzy for the very first time. I REALLY thought I was going to fly out, despite the wonky-looking seatbelts and wiggly metal bar.

Damn paranoid man. I clung on to the metal bar like shit, all the while muttering absolute nonsense under my breath while apologizing to Shan's bro for suffocating him.

...And now I can proudly ride the Dizzy Izzy while coolly sms-ing Sui Yi on my hp. *smirk*
And no, my hp didn't fly away lar.

Hah.

JL and I rode the giant roller coaster once (Shan was too sick to get on, J&J were MIA.)
I almost ran out of the shitty machine, then I realised that once the harness goes down, you're committed.

T_T

Without warning, the ride lurched forward, with JL muttering about how rude it was, giving no warning at all. The moment the machine flipped us over, I KNEW I was gonna have fun!

It was like...riding an old friend.

Kay, I didn't phrase that appropriately, but you get my drift.

After it ended:

JL: "Are you sure we're done?"
SY: "Ya, you see the platform? You can get off already."

I was like,

"I wanna go again! Wanna go again! Go again, go again, go agaaaaaaaaaain!!!!"

Well, not out loud. But chyeah, I really wanted to get back on that flimsy contraption, despite the chance that I could hurl my (almost non-existent) lunch all over the people below.

But wait, that would be so cool!

But sadly, we didn't have enough time. I sms-ed Jeanette again - where ARE you??
But I got no response.

I was ready to go bonkers at the point. Then I cross referenced the number from my received calls list and my phone book.

HOLY SHIT. I doubled the wrong number! I was probably sms-ing some poor dude all the while!
o_O''

Anyway, I got my mom to call Jeanette (my phone's spoilt remember?) and we all lived happily ever after.

Not.

After having Domino's for dinner, I left Jeanette and Johnnie to wait for their mom while I followed my mom to drop Shan and JL off.

Feel so guilty.

But then if I stay home and wait with J&J, I'd feel guilty for leaving Shan and JL alone with my parents. T_T

The three of us ended up singing super-loudly in a pondok somewhere in the middle of Bangsar. Ask JL for the story la.

Blablabla, Shan's dad picked her up to be scolded by her mom for skipping music and ballet classes when she got home (Guilt. Guilt. Guilt.) and dropped JL off at her house and I went home to sleep off the rest of my birthday.

And that concludes my boring 15th birthday.

...

Yeah right. -_- As if you folks would believe that, gullible as some of you are.

I came online to couple of birthday wishes on friendster and email.
Then, Yi Ling and Den asked the question:

"How was your cake?"

THEN I remembered.

"OMG I HAVE NO CAKE! OMGOMGOMG! WAHHHH!!!"

...*pauses for a deep breath*...

"I WANT CANDLES! I MUST HAVE CANDLES IT'S MY BIRTHDAY BOOHOOHOO!!!"

So, I went downstairs to my mom and said in a small voice:

"Mommy, I have no cake."

"I thought you said you weren't hungry?"

"I want ca-ake!"

"Ok, let's go buy you a cake."

"Dowan, so late already!"

I hopped off the chair, ran to the refridgerator, pulled out a slice of rather stale but perfectly edible cake, stabbed little pink candles into the cake, and had my parents sing the birthday song to me.

So much for defying tradition.

With my mind finally put at rest, I went to bed a happy little bimbo.

And that, my dears, concludes my strangely uneventful 15th birthday.

*snort*

Song of the Day:

"More Than That - The Backstreet Boys"

On a BSB kick here.
